Adhyāya 348: Nāga–Nīgabhāryā Saṃvāda on Anger, Hope, and Ethical Response
नारदेन तु सम्प्राप्त: सरहस्य: ससंग्रह: । एष धर्मो जगन्नाथात् साक्षान्नारायणान्नूप,नरेश्वर! देवर्षि नारदने तो रहस्य और संग्रह-सहित इस धर्मको साक्षात् जगदीश्वर नारायणसे ही प्राप्त किया था
nāraden tu samprāptaḥ sa-rahasyaḥ sa-saṅgrahaḥ | eṣa dharmo jagannāthāt sākṣān nārāyaṇān nṛpa naraśreṣṭha ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O hari, pinakamainam sa mga tao, ang aral na ito tungkol sa dharma—ganap na may taglay na lihim na diwa at isang masinop na kalipunan—ay tinanggap ng banal na rishi na si Nārada nang tuwiran mula kay Nārāyaṇa, ang Panginoon ng sansinukob.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes the supreme authority and reliability of dharma by tracing it to a direct divine source: Nārada received this dharma straight from Nārāyaṇa, and it includes both the ‘secret’ inner import (rahasya) and an organized summary (saṅgraha).
Vaiśampāyana addresses the king and explains the provenance of the dharma being taught: the divine sage Nārada obtained it directly from Nārāyaṇa (Jagannātha), underscoring that the instruction is not merely human opinion but divinely transmitted wisdom.
