इति गुह्यसमुद्देशस्तव नारद कीर्तित: । भक्‍त्या प्रेम्णा च विप्रर्षे अस्मद्धक्त्या च ते श्रुतः,नारद! ब्रह्मर्ष! तुममें भगवानके प्रति भक्ति और प्रेम है। हमलोगोंके प्रति भी तुम्हारा भक्तिभाव बना हुआ है। इसलिये हमने तुम्हारे सामने इस गोपनीय विषयका वर्णन किया है और तुम्हें इसे सुननेका शुभ अवसर मिला है

Transliteration

iti guhyasamuddeśas tava nārada kīrtitaḥ | bhaktyā premṇā ca viprarṣe asmaddhaktyā ca te śrutaḥ ||

Translation

Wika ni Nārada: “Sa gayon, ipinahayag ko sa iyo ang lihim na balangkas ng aral na ito, O Nārada, pinakadakila sa mga pantas. Sapagkat taglay mo ang debosyon at mapagmahal na pananampalataya sa Panginoon, at sapagkat may debosyon ka rin sa amin, ipinagkaloob sa iyo ang mapalad na pagkakataong marinig ang lihim na bagay na ito.”
