देवतापितृप्रश्नः — Nārada at Badarīāśrama: the ultimate referent of daiva and pitṛ worship
सम्पतन् देहजालानि कदाचिदिह मानुषे । ब्राह्म॒ण्यं लभते जन्तुस्तत् पुत्र परिपालय
sampatan dehajālāni kadācid iha mānuṣe | brāhmaṇyaṁ labhate jantus tat putra paripālaya ||
Sabi ni Vyāsa: “Sa paglalagalag sa maraming lambat ng pag-iral na may katawan, sa daigdig ng tao, bihirang-bihira na ang isang nilalang ay makamit ang kalagayan at disiplina ng isang brāhmaṇa. Kaya, anak ko, ingatan at panatilihin ang pagiging brāhmaṇa—huwag mong hayaang mawala.”
व्यास उवाच
Brāhmaṇahood—understood as a hard-won ethical and spiritual discipline—is rare to attain in human life; once obtained, it must be carefully protected through right conduct, restraint, and fidelity to dharma.
Vyāsa addresses his son, warning that beings pass through many embodied conditions and only seldom reach the state of brāhmaṇya; he urges the son to preserve that status and its duties rather than squander it.
