अव्यक्त-गुण-पुरुषविवेकः | Avyakta, Guṇas, and Discrimination of Puruṣa

वणिक्ययथं द्विजं क्षत्रं वैश्यशूद्रांस्तथैव च । दानं च विविधाकारं दीनान्धकृपणादिषु

vaṇig yathāṁ dvijaṁ kṣatraṁ vaiśyaśūdrāṁs tathaiva ca | dānaṁ ca vividhākāraṁ dīnāndhakṛpaṇādiṣu ||

Sinabi ni Vasiṣṭha: “Gaya ng isang mangangalakal, kung minsan ay nakikipagkalakalan siya; kung minsan ay tinutupad niya ang mga tungkulin ng isang brāhmaṇa at isang kṣatriya; at kung minsan nama’y inaako rin niya ang mga hanapbuhay ng vaiśya at śūdra. Nagbibigay siya ng kaloob sa maraming paraan sa mga salat—sa mga nagdurusa, sa mga bulag, sa mga dukha, at sa iba pa.”
