Adhyātma–Adhibhūta–Adhidaivata Correspondences and the Triguṇa Lakṣaṇas (Śānti-parva 301)
ज्ञानविज्ञानसम्पन्ना: कारणैभाविता: शुभा: | प्राप्तुवन्ति शुभं मोक्ष सूक्ष्मा इव नभ: परम्
jñānavijñānasampannāḥ kāraṇair bhāvitāḥ śubhāḥ | prāpnuvanti śubhaṃ mokṣaṃ sūkṣmā iva nabhaḥ param ||
Sinabi ni Bhishma: Yaong mga pinagkalooban ng tunay na kaalaman (jñāna) at ng natamong pag-unawa (vijñāna), at ang kalooban ay pinino ng wastong mga sanhi—malinis na disiplina at tamang pag-unawa—ay nakakamit ang mapalad na kalagayan ng paglaya. Sa pagiging banayad at masinsin, nararating nila ang sukdulang kalawakan, gaya ng maririkit na elemento na lumulusaw sa pinakamataas na langit.
भीष्म उवाच
Liberation is attained by those who unite jñāna (right understanding) with vijñāna (lived, discriminative realization) and who are inwardly purified by the proper causes—disciplines and conditions that refine the mind—becoming subtle enough to reach the supreme state.
In Śānti Parva, Bhīṣma instructs Yudhiṣṭhira on peace, dharma, and the paths to the highest good. Here he summarizes the destiny of accomplished seekers: purified knowers attain auspicious mokṣa, likened to subtle beings merging into the highest sky.
