तासां दर्प: समभवत्‌ प्रजानां धर्मनाशन: । दर्पात्मनां ततः पश्चात्‌ क्रोधस्तासामजायत

Transliteration

tāsāṁ darpaḥ samabhavat prajānāṁ dharmanāśanaḥ | darpātmanāṁ tataḥ paścāt krodhas tāsām ajāyata ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Parāśara: “Sa mga taong iyon ay sumibol ang kayabangan—isang tagawasak ng dharma. At nang masapian ang kanilang isipan ng kayabangan, saka sumunod na sumiklab ang galit sa kanila.”
