श्रेयो-धर्मकर्मविचारः
Inquiry into Śreyas, Dharma, and Karma
तुरीयांशेन तस्येमं विद्धि केशवमच्युतम् । तुरीयार्थेन लोकांस्त्रीन् भावयत्येव बुद्धिमान्
turīyāṁśena tasyemaṁ viddhi keśavam acyutam | turīyārthena lokāṁs trīn bhāvayaty eva buddhimān ||
Wika ni Bhishma: Kilalanin si Keshava, ang di-nabibigo na Achyuta, bilang pinagkalooban ng isang-kapat na bahagi ng Kataas-taasang Narayana. Sa mismong bahaging iyon, itinataguyod at inililitaw ng marunong na Panginoon ang tatlong daigdig—ngunit hindi kailanman nalalayo sa likas Niyang kadakilaan.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse affirms Krishna’s supreme divinity: he is identified as an aspect of Narayana, possessing a ‘quarter-portion’ through which the entire threefold cosmos is manifested and sustained, while his essential glory remains unchanged and undiminished.
In Shanti Parva’s instruction to Yudhishthira, Bhishma continues theological teaching, praising Krishna as Achyuta and explaining his cosmic status—linking him to Narayana and describing his power to uphold the three worlds.
