तृष्णाक्षय-उपदेशः

Instruction on the Cessation of Craving

द्वाराणि यस्य सर्वाणि सुगुप्तानि मनीषिण: । उपस्थमुदरं बाहू वाक्‌ चतुर्थी स वै द्विज:,जिस मनीषी पुरुषके उपस्थ, उदर, हाथ-पैर और वाणी--ये सभी द्वार पूर्णतः रक्षित हैं, वही वास्तवमें ब्राह्मण है

dvārāṇi yasya sarvāṇi sugoptāni manīṣiṇaḥ | upastham udaraṃ bāhū vāk caturthī sa vai dvijaḥ ||

Sinabi ni Kapila: Ang tunay na marunong ay yaong ang lahat ng kanyang mga tarangkahan ay mahigpit na nababantayan—ang pita ng laman, ang pagnanasa ng tiyan, ang mga bisig (ang kapangyarihang kumilos at umagaw), at ang pananalita bilang ikaapat. Ang gayong may pagpipigil-sa-sarili lamang ang karapat-dapat tawaging “dalawang ulit na isinilang” (dvija/brāhmaṇa sa diwang etikal), sapagkat ang kanyang asal ay pinangangalagaan ng disiplina at hindi hinihila ng pagnanasa.
