Kapila–Cow Dialogue: Authority of Householder and Renunciant Dharmas
ततस्तु कालसमये बभूवुस्ते5थ पक्षिण: । बुबुधे तांस्तु स मुनिर्जातपक्षान् कुलिड्रकान्
tatastu kālasamaye babhūvus te ’tha pakṣiṇaḥ | bubudhe tāṁs tu sa munir jātapakṣān kuliḍrakān ||
Pagkaraan, nang dumating ang takdang panahon, tumubo ang mga pakpak ng mga ibon. Napansin ng muni na ang mga batang ibong kuliḍraka ay nagkaroon na ng balahibo—hudyat na natupad na ang likás na panahon ng paghihintay at pag-iingat.
भीष्म उवाच
One should act in alignment with kāla (the right time): protect and nurture until maturity is reached, then recognize the natural completion of one’s duty without impatience or neglect.
After some time passes, the young birds grow wings. The sage observes and understands that the fledglings have become capable—marking a transition point in the episode.
