सामर्थ्य शोचतो नास्तीत्यतो<हं नाद्य शोचिमि । जब शोक करनेवाले पुरुषका शोक उसके संकटको दूर नहीं हटा पाता है
sāmarthyaṃ śocato nāstīty ato 'haṃ nādya śocimi |
Sinabi ni Bhishma: “Walang lakas ang taong nagdadalamhati; kaya ngayon ay hindi ako magdadalamhati. Kung ang lungkot ay hindi kayang alisin ang krisis at sa halip ay nagpapahina sa taong pinighati, bakit pa magluluksa? Sa pagninilay na ito, hindi ako nagpapadaig sa dalamhati.”
भीष्म उवाच
Grief does not solve the underlying problem and instead drains one’s strength; therefore one should cultivate steadiness and conserve inner power for right action.
