(Pralaya Process) — Guṇa-Withdrawal and Pratisaṃcara
The verse presents sacrifice and Vedic order as foundational supports of the world: where Veda, yajña, and the gods are established, divine powers (here Agni) uphold stability. Ethically, it implies that sustaining dharma through rightful rites and truth-based knowledge maintains cosmic balance.
Indra addresses a देवी, assuring her that Agni will bear her ‘third foot’ securely. The imagery suggests a being or principle standing upon multiple supports, with Agni—linked to sacrificial fire—serving as one of the stabilizing pillars grounded in Veda and yajña.
