Śānti-parva 206: Guṇa-hetu Moha, Kāma-krodha Chain, Indriya-utpatti, and Nirodha
तदेव च यथा सूत्र सुवर्णे वर्तते पुनः । मुक्तास्वथ प्रवालेषु मृन्मये राजते तथा
tadeva ca yathā sūtraṃ suvarṇe vartate punaḥ | muktāsv atha pravāleṣu mṛṇmaye rājate tathā ||
Sabi ni Bhīṣma: “Kung paanong ang iisang sinulid ay muling masusumpungan na dumaraan sa ginto, gayundin ito’y kumikislap kapag nasa gitna ng mga perlas at korales, at gayon din kahit sa mga butil na luwad. Sa gayon, ang iisang saligang simulain ay nananatiling iisa bagaman lumilitaw sa iba’t ibang anyo at kalagayan; hindi nababawasan ang halaga nito dahil sa panlabas na sisidlan.”
