On the Principle of Keśava: Cosmogony and Divine Epithets
The verse frames a dharmic inquiry into the nature of spiritual destiny (gati): whether liberation is immediate, gradual, or involves reaching another realm first. It emphasizes careful questioning about outcomes, causes, and the ethical-spiritual significance of actions and dialogue.
Yudhiṣṭhira asks the teacher-narrator to clarify what happened to “the two” previously mentioned: where they went, what they discussed, what they did, and which of the three described spiritual attainments they ultimately reached.
