Jñāna-yoga and Karma-phala: Manu–Bṛhaspati on Akṣara and the Limits of Mantra

बहुकारं च सस्यानां वाहो वाहो गवां तथा । सबेरे और शाम दोनों समय विधिपूर्वक ब्राह्मणोंका पूजन (सेवा-सत्कार) करना चाहिये। यही व्यापारोंमें उत्तम व्यापारकी भाँति शोभा पाता है और यही खेतीमें सबसे अच्छी खेतीके समान प्रत्यक्ष फलदायक है। ब्राह्मणपूजक पुरुषके विविध अन्नोंकी वृद्धि होती है और उसे वाहनोंमें गोजातिके श्रेष्ठ वाहन सुलभ होते हैं

bahukāraṃ ca sasyānāṃ vāho vāho gavāṃ tathā | sabere aura śāma donoṃ samaya vidhipūrvaka brāhmaṇoṃkā pūjana (sevā-satkāra) karanā cāhiye | yahī vyāpāroṃmeṃ uttama vyāpārakī bhānti śobhā pāta hai aura yahī khetīmeṃ sabase acchī khetīke samāna pratyakṣa phaladāyaka hai | brāhmaṇapūjaka puruṣake vividha annoṃkī vṛddhi hotī hai aura use vāhanoṃmeṃ gojātike śreṣṭha vāhana sulabha hote haiṃ

Wika ni Bhishma: Sa umaga at sa gabi, nararapat na parangalan ang mga Brahmin ayon sa wastong paraan, sa pamamagitan ng pagsamba at magalang na paglilingkod. Ito ang namumukod bilang pinakadakilang gawain sa lahat ng gawain, at tulad ng pinakamahusay na pagsasaka, nagbibigay ito ng lantad at agarang bunga. Sa taong tapat sa paggalang sa mga Brahmin, dumarami ang iba’t ibang butil; at sa mga sasakyan, madali niyang nakakamit ang pinakamainam—ang mga baka bilang higit na mainam na hayop na panghila at pangsakay.
