Jāpakānāṃ Gatiḥ — The Destinies of Japa-Practitioners (Śānti Parva 12.190)

अविस्रम्भे न गन्तव्यं विस्रम्भे धारयेन्मन: । मन: प्राणे निगृह्नलीयात्‌ प्राणं ब्रह्मणि धारयेत्‌

aviśrambhe na gantavyaṃ viśrambhe dhārayen manaḥ | manaḥ prāṇe nigṛhṇīyāt prāṇaṃ brahmaṇi dhārayet |

Sinabi ni Bharadvāja: Huwag magpatuloy sa landas na walang tiwala; kung saan nararapat ang tiwala, doon patatagin ang isip. Pigilan at tipunin ang isip sa hiningang-buhay (prāṇa), at ituon ang prāṇa sa Brahman. Sa gayon, ang paghatol sa tama at mali sa pakikitungo sa kapwa ay humahantong sa panloob na disiplina at sa pagkalubog sa espirituwal na katotohanan.
