Liberation is a direct realization that cannot be fully captured by language; therefore the inner discipline of yoga—especially knowledge-oriented realization—is regarded as the highest means, though it is difficult to articulate and grasp conceptually.
In the Śānti Parva’s reflective dialogue, Yudhiṣṭhira speaks about the nature of the liberative goal and the superiority of the yogic path, contrasting describable worldly destinations with the indescribable realization known to those pursuing mokṣa.
