Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca

Educational Q&A

When one depends on another for rescue or relief, impatience and self-centered fear can arise; dharma here emphasizes timely, effective action and disciplined cooperation, especially when freedom and safety are at stake.

A cat is trapped in a snare. He sees a mouse cutting the binding ropes but doing so slowly. Driven by urgency, the cat urges the mouse to hurry and cut the bonds faster.
