लीन: स तस्य गात्रेषु पलितो देशकालवित् । चिच्छेद पाशान् नृपते कालापेक्षी शनै: शनै:
līnaḥ sa tasya gātreṣu palito deśa-kāla-vit | ciccheda pāśān nṛpate kālāpekṣī śanaiḥ śanaiḥ ||
Wika ni Bhīṣma: Ang abuhing daga, bihasa sa pagtaya ng lugar at panahon, ay nagkubli nang dikit sa katawan ng pusa at naghintay ng tamang sandali; habang binabantayan ang paglapit ng panganib, dahan-dahan ngunit tuluy-tuloy nitong nginangatngat ang mga tali ng silo, O hari.
