त्रिवर्गमूलनिश्चयः — Determining the Roots of Dharma, Artha, and Kāma

वसुहरोम उवाच शृणु राजन्‌ यथा दण्ड: सम्भूतो लोकसंग्रह: । प्रजाविनयरक्षार्थ धर्मस्थात्मा सनातन:

Vasuharoma uvāca: śṛṇu rājan yathā daṇḍaḥ sambhūto lokasaṅgrahaḥ | prajāvinayarakṣārthaṃ dharmasthātmā sanātanaḥ ||

Sabi ni Vasuharoma: “Makinig ka, O Hari, kung paano nagmula ang daṇḍa—ang simulain ng pagpaparusa at pamamahala—bilang paraan upang pag-isahin at panatilihin ang kaayusan ng daigdig. Ito ang walang hanggang saligan ng dharma, itinatag upang pangalagaan ang lipunan sa pamamagitan ng pagdidisiplina at pag-iingat sa mga tao.”
