Sarasvatī-Śāpavimokṣa, Rākṣasa-Mokṣa, and Aruṇā-Tīrtha

Indra–Namuci Expiation

Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that all auspicious powers—prosperity, brilliance, fame, success, and intelligence—are ultimately rooted in and governed by the divine principle addressed here, emphasizing dependence of the world on a higher sustaining power and encouraging reverent humility.

Vasiṣṭha is offering a hymn of praise (stuti), identifying the addressed deity with multiple revered forms and functions—Umā, Speech, and the sacrificial invocation Svāhā—thereby asserting her all-pervading sovereignty over the cosmos.
