वर्तमाने तथा यज्ञे पुष्करस्थे पितामहे | अब्र॒ुवन्नषयो राजन्नायं यज्ञों महागुण:
vartamāne tathā yajñe puṣkarasthe pitāmahe | abruvann ṛṣayo rājann ayaṁ yajño mahāguṇaḥ ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Habang nagpapatuloy nang gayon ang handog, at nasa Puṣkara ang Pitāmaha (Dakilang Ninuno), sinabi ng mga rishi sa kanya: “O hari, ang handog na ito ay may dakilang kagalingan.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical-religious idea that a properly conducted yajña is a source of great guṇa (excellence/merit), and that wise seers recognize and affirm such merit, reinforcing the value of disciplined, auspicious action.
In Vaiśaṃpāyana’s narration to King Janamejaya, a sacrifice is underway at the sacred site Puṣkara, where Pitāmaha is present; the assembled sages address him and commend the sacrifice as highly meritorious.
