अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्

Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report

धिगस्तु कृतवर्माणं मां कृपं च महारथम्‌

dhig astu kṛtavarmāṇaṁ māṁ kṛpaṁ ca mahāratham

Wika ni Sañjaya: “Kapahi-pahiya si Kṛtavarmā—at ako rin—at si Kṛpa, ang dakilang mandirigmang karwahe!” Sa sandaling ito ng pag-urong ng budhi, hinahatulan ng nagsasalita ang mga gumawa (pati ang sarili) sa isang gawang itinuturing na hamak sa batas ng mga mandirigma, isang matalim na hatol sa gitna ng bakas ng karahasang naganap sa gabi.
