स हि धर्म पुरस्कृत्य दीर्घदर्शी परं हितम्‌ । उभयो: पक्षयोरयुक्तिं वक्ष्यत्यर्थविनिश्वयम्‌

Transliteration

sa hi dharma-puraskṛtya dīrgha-darśī paraṁ hitam | ubhayoḥ pakṣayor ayuktiṁ vakṣyaty artha-viniścayam ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Dhṛtarāṣṭra: “Sapagkat si Vidura ay naglalagay ng dharma sa unahan at malayo ang tanaw. Taglay ang pinakamataas na kapakanan, ipahahayag niya ang nararapat na landas para sa magkabilang panig at magbibigay ng tiyak na pasya kung ano ang dapat gawin.”
