Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta

अभिगम्याब्रवीत्‌ प्रीतः पृथां पृथुयशा हरि: । साम्राज्यं समनुप्राप्ता: पुत्रास्तेडद्य पितृष्वस:

abhigamyābravīt prītaḥ pṛthāṃ pṛthuyaśā hariḥ | sāmrājyaṃ samanupprāptāḥ putrās te ’dya pitṛṣvasaḥ ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśaṃpāyana: Pagkaraan nito, ang malawak ang katanyagan na si Hari (Kṛṣṇa), na may galak sa puso, ay lumapit kay Pṛthā (Kuntī) at nagsalita: “O tiya, ngayong araw natamo na ng iyong mga anak ang paghahari; natupad na ang matagal nilang minimithi. Silang lahat ay pinagkalooban ng yaman at mga hiyas. Kaya ngayon, manahan kang masaya kasama nila. Kung ipahihintulot mo, nais kong lumisan patungong Dvārakā.”
