Decision on the Highest Honor at the Assembly

True greatness is recognized by the life-giving effect of one’s presence: like sun and wind, a supremely virtuous and powerful person brings clarity, vitality, and joy to a community. Bhīṣma’s praise frames Kṛṣṇa as the natural center of honor in the assembly.
In the royal court, Bhīṣma addresses Yudhiṣṭhira (the son of Kuntī) and declares that Kṛṣṇa’s presence illuminates and delights the entire assembly, using the analogies of the sun lighting darkness and wind enlivening stillness—supporting the view that Kṛṣṇa is worthy of foremost honor.
