Decision on the Highest Honor at the Assembly
Honor should be extended to all worthy guests, but when precedence must be decided, it should go to the most excellent and capable—highlighting the dharmic tension between equal respect and hierarchical recognition.
In the royal assembly context, instructions are given to offer arghya to the gathered persons one by one, and to decide who among them should receive the first and highest honor—setting up a consequential choice about status and merit.
