Decision on the Highest Honor at the Assembly
जनमेजय! उस समय वहाँ समस्त क्षत्रियोंका सम्मेलन देखकर मुनिवर नारदजी सहसा चिन्तित हो उठे
janamejaya! tadā tatra samastakṣatriyāṇāṁ samāgamaṁ dṛṣṭvā munivaro nāradaḥ sahasā cintito ’bhavat
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “O Janamejaya, nang panahong iyon, nang makita roon ang dakilang pagtitipon ng lahat ng kṣatriya, biglang sinakmal ng balisang pagninilay ang pantas na si Nārada.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A wise person reads the moral and political signs of the time: when power gathers in one place amid rivalry, the potential for adharma and conflict increases, and vigilance becomes a duty.
Vaiśampāyana tells Janamejaya that Nārada, seeing a large congregation of kṣatriya rulers, becomes suddenly concerned—suggesting he anticipates serious consequences arising from this convergence of royal forces.
