Vasudeva–Arjuna Dialogue in the Aftermath of Dvārakā
नियति तु जने तस्मिन् सागरो मकरालय: । द्वारकां रत्नसम्पूर्णा जलेनाप्लावयत् तदा,उस जनसमुदायके निकलते ही मगरों और घड़ियालोंके निवासस्थान समुद्रने रत्नोंसे भरी-पूरी द्वारका नगरीको जलसे डुबो दिया
niyati tu jane tasmin sāgaro makarālayaḥ | dvārakāṃ ratnasampūrṇāṃ jalena aplāvayat tadā ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Nang makaalis ang taong-bayan—itinutulak ng niyati (tadhana)—ang dagat, tahanan ng mga makara, ay binaha ang Dvārakā, ang lungsod na hitik sa mga hiyas, at nilubog ito sa tubig. Ipinahihiwatig ng taludtod ang di-mapipigil na lakas ng tadhana, na nagpapagunaw maging sa pinakadakilang gawang-tao at karangyaan.
