हयानन्ये गजानन्ये रथानन्ये महारथा: । आरुहा जवसम्पन्ना: पदातीन् प्रजहुर्भयात्
hayān anye gajān anye rathān anye mahārathāḥ | ārūhya javasampannāḥ padātīn prajahur bhayāt ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: Ang ilan ay sumakay sa kabayo, ang ilan sa elepante, at ang iba pang mga dakilang mandirigmang-karwahe ay umakyat sa kanilang mga karwahe. Dahil sa takot, tumakas sila nang ubod ng bilis, iniwan ang mga kawal na naglalakad sa larangan.
