संजय उवाच
The verse emphasizes dhṛti—steadfast resolve—as essential for carrying out one’s chosen duty in crisis. It portrays moral-psychological readiness (renewed firmness) as the prerequisite for decisive action in a dharma-framed battlefield context.
Sañjaya reports an exhortation addressed to a warrior to reassert his fortitude and to kill Karṇa (“the sūta’s son”), not in isolation but along with his supporting associates—indicating a push toward a conclusive, strategic end to the conflict.
