धनंजयशराभ्यस्तै: स्यन्दनाश्वरथद्विपै: । संछिन्नभिन्नविध्वस्तैर्व्यज्राज़ावयवै: स्तृता
dhanañjayaśarābhyastaiḥ syandanāśvarathadvipaiḥ | sañchinnabhinnavidhvastair vyajāḍāva-yavaiḥ stṛtā ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: Ang lupa roon ay natabunan ng nagkadurug-durog na labi ng mga karwahe, kabayo, at elepante—paulit-ulit na tinamaan ng mga palaso ni Dhanañjaya (Arjuna). Naputol, nabiyak, at lubusang nawasak, ang kanilang mga bahagi at sangkap ay nagkalat, patunay sa walang tigil na bagsik ng labanan at sa kakila-kilabot na kabayarang hinihingi ng galing sa digmaan.
