महारथान्‌ नागवरान्‌ हयांश्न पदातिमुख्यानपि च प्रमथ्य । एको भीमो धार्त॑राष्ट्रेषु मग्नः स मामुपालब्धुमरिंदमो5हति

mahārathān nāgavarān hayāṁś ca padātimukhyān api ca pramathya | eko bhīmo dhārtarāṣṭreṣu magnaḥ sa mām upālabdhum ariṁdamo 'rhati ||

Matapos durugin ang mga dakilang mandirigmang nakasakay sa karwahe, ang pinakamahuhusay na elepante, ang mga kabayo, at maging ang pangunahing mga kawal na naglalakad, si Bhīma lamang ang sumuong nang malalim sa hanay ng mga Dhārtarāṣṭra. Siya lamang—ang manlulupig ng kaaway—ang karapat-dapat na sumumbat sa akin, sapagkat ang kanyang pagsaway ay magmumula sa napatunayang tapang at sa di-matitinag na paninindigan para sa katuwiran sa gitna ng makatarungang digmaan.
