अध्याय ६० — कर्णस्य पाञ्चाल-सोमक-निग्रहः
Karna’s Suppression of the Panchala–Somaka Forces
तथैव तावका राजन् पाण्डवानामनीकिनीम् | अभ्यद्रवन्त त्वरिता जिघांसन्तो महारथा:,राजन्! इसी प्रकार आपके महारथी वीर भी पाण्डव-सेनाका वध करनेके लिये बड़े वेगसे उसकी ओर दौड़े
tathaiva tāvakā rājan pāṇḍavānām anīkinīm | abhyadravan tvaritā jighāṃsanto mahārathāḥ ||
Wika ni Sañjaya: “Gayon din, O Hari, ang iyong mga dakilang mandirigmang nakasakay sa karwahe ay mabilis na sumugod sa hukbo ng mga Pāṇḍava, taglay ang hangaring pumatay—hinahatak ng marahas na bugso ng labanan, hindi ng pagpipigil.”
