इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ााभारत कर्णपर्वमें अश्वत्थामाका पलायनविषयक उनसठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ ॥/ ५९ ॥। हि 7 छा हर षष्टितमो< ध्याय: श्रीकृष्णका अर्जुनसे दुर्योधन और कर्णके पराक्रमका वर्णन करके कर्णको मारनेके लिये अर्जुनको उत्साहित करना तथा भीमसेनके दुष्कर पराक्रमका वर्णन करना संजय उवाच एतस्मिन्नन्तरे कृष्ण: पार्थ वचनमत्रवीत्‌ । दर्शयन्निव कौन्तेयं धर्मराजं युधिष्ठिरम्‌,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्‌! इसी समय भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने अर्जुनको धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरका दर्शन कराते हुए-से इस प्रकार कहा--

sañjaya uvāca | etasminn antare kṛṣṇaḥ pārtha vacanam abravīt | darśayann iva kaunteyaṃ dharmarājaṃ yudhiṣṭhiram |

Wika ni Sañjaya: “O hari, sa sandaling iyon ay nagsalita si Kṛṣṇa kay Pārtha (Arjuna) ng mga salitang ito, na wari’y ipinakikita sa kanya si Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira—upang ipaalala ang matuwid na tungkulin at ang buhay na nakataya sa digmaan—at patatagin ang kanyang loob sa dapat gawin.”
