अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च
Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter
गुरुपुत्र इति होनं मानयन् भरतर्षभ । उपेक्षां कुरु मा पार्थ नायं काल उपेक्षितुम्
guruputra iti honam mānayan bharatarṣabha | upekṣāṃ kuru mā pārtha nāyaṃ kāla upekṣitum ||
Wika ni Sañjaya: “O pinakamatapang sa angkan ng Bharata, O Partha—huwag mo siyang tratuhing may pagwawalang-bahala dahil lamang sa pag-iisip na, ‘Siya’y anak ng aking guro.’ Hindi ito panahon ng pagpapalampas o pag-uurong-kamay; ang sandaling ito’y humihingi ng ganap na paninindigan.”
संजय उवाच
Personal reverence and old loyalties (such as respect for one’s teacher’s family) must not become misplaced indulgence when dharma requires decisive action; in a crisis, one should not ‘overlook’ what must be confronted.
Sanjaya, narrating the battle, urges Arjuna not to hold back out of regard for someone as ‘the guru’s son.’ He stresses that the present battlefield moment is critical and does not permit hesitation or leniency.
