कर्णेन सैन्यस्थापनं तथा नानायुद्धसमवायः

Karna Reforms the Host and Multiple Duels Converge

अर्धोक्ता: कुरुपज्चाला: शाल्वा: कृत्स्नानुशासना: । पर्वतीयाश्ष विषमा यथैव शिबयस्तथा

ardhoktāḥ kurupañcālāḥ śālvāḥ kṛtsnānuśāsanāḥ | parvatīyāś ca viṣamā yathaiva śibayas tathā ||

Wika ni Karna: “Ang mga Kuru at Panchala ay nasasaklaw ang buong diwa kahit kalahati lamang ang masabi. Ang mga Śālva ay nakauunawa lamang kapag ganap na naibigay ang tagubilin. Ngunit ang mga naninirahan sa kabundukan ay mahirap pakitunguhan—gaya ng mga Śibi: kahit sabihin na ang buong bagay, hindi pa rin nila nauunawaan.”
