Adhyāya 35 — Bhīmasena’s Counter-Encirclement and the Karṇa Engagement Escalation

The verse highlights the warrior’s firm resolve to act decisively in battle, while implicitly reminding the reader of the ethical strain of war: determination and prowess can serve duty, yet they also intensify destruction when driven by anger or rivalry.
In the Karṇa Parva battle setting, a speaker addresses Śalya and declares an intention to launch extraordinarily powerful arrows that day, signaling an escalation in combat and the imminence of a fierce exchange.
