कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
।। दुर्योधन उवाच ततोअ<स्त्राणि समस्तानि वरांश्व मनसेप्सितान्,दुर्योधन कहता है--राजन्! तब रामने भगवान् शिवसे समस्त दिव्यास्त्र और नाना प्रकारके मनोवांछित वर पाकर उनके चरणोंमें मस्तक रखकर प्रणाम किया। फिर वे महातपस्वी परशुराम देवेश्वर शिवसे आज्ञा लेकर चले गये
duryodhana uvāca | tato 'strāṇi samastāni varāṁś ca manasepsitān rājann tadā rāmeṇa bhagavataḥ śivāt prāptvā tasya caraṇayoḥ śirasā praṇamya mahātapāḥ paraśurāmo deveśvarāt śivād ājñāṁ gṛhītvā jagāma |
Sinabi ni Duryodhana: “O Hari, noon si Rāma (Paraśurāma), matapos makamtan mula sa Mapalad na Śiva ang lahat ng banal na sandata at maraming biyayang minimithi ng kanyang puso, ay yumukod at nagpatirapa sa paanan ni Śiva. Pagkaraan, ang dakilang asetang si Paraśurāma, nang mapahintulutan ng Diyos ng mga diyos na si Śiva, ay lumisan.”
दुर्योधन उवाच
Spiritual power and martial power are portrayed as arising from devotion, discipline, and rightful seeking: Paraśurāma gains weapons and boons through Śiva’s grace, and he responds with humility—bowing and taking leave—showing that even great power should be framed by reverence and restraint.
Duryodhana recounts that Paraśurāma (called Rāma) obtained all divine weapons and desired boons from Śiva, offered respectful prostration at Śiva’s feet, received Śiva’s permission, and then departed.
