अभ्यवर्तन्त सहसा परीप्सन्तो नराधिपम् । उसे संकटमें पड़ा देख कर्ण, अश्वत्थामा तथा कृपाचार्य आदि वीर अपने राजाकी रक्षा चाहते हुए सहसा युधिष्ठिरके सामने आ पहुँचे
abhyavartanta sahasā parīpsanto narādhipam |
Wika ni Sañjaya: “Nang makita nilang nalalagay sa panganib ang hari, sina Karṇa, Aśvatthāmā, Kṛpācārya, at iba pang mga mandirigma—sabik na ipagtanggol ang kanilang pinuno—ay biglang sumugod upang harapin si Yudhiṣṭhira. Ipinakikita ng sandaling ito ang asal ng digmaan: katapatan sa hari at sa mga kasama, kahit gumuho na ang kalagayan.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ethic of protective loyalty: in moments of danger, warriors are expected to act decisively to shield their ruler and uphold their side’s cohesion, even when the situation is dire.
Sañjaya reports that, seeing their king in distress, Karṇa, Aśvatthāmā, Kṛpa, and other fighters quickly surge forward and come before Yudhiṣṭhira, intending to defend their sovereign.
