नेदृशं च पुनर्युद्धे भविष्पति कदाचन । अहो ज्ञानेन सम्पन्नावुभौ ब्राह्मणक्षत्रियौं,'ऐसा युद्ध फिर कभी नहीं होगा। ये ब्राह्मण और क्षत्रिय दोनों ही अद्भुत ज्ञानसे सम्पन्न हैं

nedṛśaṃ ca punar yuddhe bhaviṣyati kadācana | aho jñānena sampannāv ubhau brāhmaṇa-kṣatriyau ||

Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “Hindi na kailanman magkakaroon muli ng digmaang tulad nito. Kay lungkot—ang dalawang mandirigmang ito, taglay ang mga katangian ng brāhmaṇa at kṣatriya sa iisang pagkatao, ay pinagkalooban ng pambihirang pag-unawa; kaya ang digmaang ito’y hindi lamang sagupaan ng sandata, kundi isang bihirang pagtatagpo ng karunungan at kagitingan.”
