द्रोणविक्रमदर्शनम् / The Display of Droṇa’s Onslaught and the Debate on Pāṇḍava Regrouping
तांस्तथा भृशसंरब्धान् पञ्चालान् मत्स्यकेकयान् | सृञ्जयान् पाण्डवांश्वैव द्रोणो व्यक्षो भयद् बली
tāṁs tathā bhṛśa-saṁrabdhān pañcālān matsya-kekayān | sṛñjayān pāṇḍavāṁś caiva droṇo vyakṣobhayad balī ||
Sinabi ni Sanjaya: Nang makita ni Drona ang mga Pāñcāla, Matsya, Kekaya, Sṛñjaya, at mga mandirigmang Pāṇḍava na nag-aalab sa matinding poot, ang makapangyarihang Drona ay naghasik ng pagkalito sa kanila—niyanig ang kanilang hanay at loob sa gitna ng siksik na labanan. Ipinapakita ng taludtod na sa digmaan, ang galit ay maaaring salubungin at supilin ng higit na disiplina, estratehiya, at lakas, at ang alab ng damdamin ay nagiging kaguluhan.
