Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Sañjaya Dialogue: Description of the Night Engagement of Karṇa and Ghaṭotkaca
The verse emphasizes steadfastness and mutual accountability in a solemn commitment: a vow shared is to be upheld with equal seriousness by both parties, leaving no room for doubt or wavering.
Sañjaya addresses Arjuna (Kaunteya, Mahābāho), affirming that a particular vow or resolve was undertaken jointly and that he remains bound to it exactly as Arjuna is, reinforcing confidence and unity of purpose amid the pressures of war.
