सैन्यं द्रवति चायुष्मन् कौरवेयं समन्तत: । पश्य योधान् रणे भग्नान् धावतो वै ततस्तत:
saṃjaya uvāca
sainyaṃ dravati cāyuṣman kauraveyaṃ samantataḥ | paśya yodhān raṇe bhagnān dhāvato vai tatastataḥ ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “O ikaw na pinagkalooban ng mahabang buhay, ang hukbo ng mga Kaurava ay nababasag at umaagos na tumatakas sa lahat ng panig. Masdan—ang mga mandirigmang wasak sa labanan ay nagtatakbuhan sa iba’t ibang dako.”
