भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ९६: सौभद्रस्य आक्रमणम्, अलम्बुसस्य प्रतिविधानम्

राक्षसस्य तु त॑ शब्दं श्रुत्वा राजा युधिष्ठिर: । उवाच भरतश्रेष्ठ भीमसेनमरिंदमम्‌,भरतश्रेष्ठ! राक्षस घटोत्कचकी उस गर्जनाको सुनकर राजा युधिष्ठिरने शत्रुदमन भीमसेनसे इस प्रकार कहा--

rākṣasasya tu taṁ śabdaṁ śrutvā rājā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | uvāca bharataśreṣṭha bhīmasenam arindamam ||

Wika ni Sañjaya: Nang marinig ang pag-ungal ng rākṣasa, si Haring Yudhiṣṭhira—pinakamainam sa angkan ng Bharata—ay nagsalita kay Bhīmasena, ang manlulupig ng mga kaaway, nang ganito—. Ipinakikita ng tagpong ito ang tungkulin ng pinuno: tumugon sa panganib nang may kapanatagan at ituro ang lakas sa pag-iingat sa sariling panig sa gitna ng digmaan.
