भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ९६: सौभद्रस्य आक्रमणम्, अलम्बुसस्य प्रतिविधानम्
Abhimanyu’s assault; Alambusa’s counter-engagement
उस समय उन बाणोंके गहरे आघातसे वह अंकुशकी मार खाये हुए हाथीकी भाँति व्यथित हो उठा और तुरंत ही गरुड़के समान आकाशमें सब ओर उड़ने लगा ।।
saṃjaya uvāca | vyanadat sumahānādaṃ jīmūta iva śāradaḥ | diśaḥ khaṃ vidiśaś caiva nādayan bhairavasvanaḥ ||
Wika ni Sañjaya: Noon, sa lalim ng mga tama ng palaso, siya’y nayanig na parang elepanteng tinutusok ng kawit ng tagapagpaamo. Pagdaka’y umakyat siya sa langit na gaya ni Garuḍa at nagpakawala ng napakalakas na sigaw; nakalutang sa himpapawid na parang ulap sa taglagas, sa nakapanghihilakbot na tinig ay pinaugong niya ang kalangitan, ang mga direksiyon, at ang mga pagitan ng mga direksiyon.
