भीष्मरक्षण-उद्योगः, शिखण्डि-विवर्जनं, सर्वतोभद्र-व्यूहः

पितामहवच: श्रुत्वा त्वरमाणा महारथा: । उत्तमं जवमास्थाय प्रययुर्यत्र कौरव:,भीष्मकी यह बात सुनकर सब महारथी उत्तम वेगका आश्रय ले बड़ी उतावलीके साथ उस स्थानपर गये, जहाँ कुरुराज दुर्योधन मौजूद था
pitāmahavacaḥ śrutvā tvaramāṇā mahārathāḥ | uttamaṃ javam āsthāya prayayur yatra kauravaḥ ||
Wika ni Sanjaya: Nang marinig ang mga salita ng Matandang Bhīṣma, ang mga dakilang mandirigmang nakasakay sa karwahe, sa matinding pagmamadali, ay sumagitsit sa pinakamabilis na takbo at nagmadaling tumungo sa kinaroroonan ng haring Kaurava na si Duryodhana.
