अध्याय ८० — मध्यंदिन-रणवृत्तान्तः

तत्प्रभग्नं बल॑ दृष्टवा द्रोणेनामिततेजसा । नाशवनुवन् वारयितुं समस्तास्ते महारथा:
tatprabhagnaṃ balaṃ dṛṣṭvā droṇenāmitatejasā | nāśakan nu vārayituṃ samastās te mahārathāḥ ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: Nang makita nilang winasak ni Droṇa, na may di-masukat na ningning, ang kanilang pagkakaayos ng hukbo, ang lahat ng mga dakilang mandirigmang-karwahe—kahit kumilos nang magkakasama—ay hindi nagawang pigilan siya.
