Educational Q&A

Divine vision is presented as ethically conditioned: truthfulness, disciplined vows, and austerity purify the seeker, whereas immoral conduct (durvṛtta) blocks the possibility of beholding Maheśvara.

Sañjaya describes who is capable of seeing Maheśvara: only realized ascetics and vow-keepers devoted to truth can behold Him, while the wicked cannot attain such a vision.
