महता शरवर्षेण भीष्मस्य धनुराच्छिनत् | जैसे सिंह हाथियोंके समूहको आगे बढ़नेसे रोक देता है, उसी प्रकार उन सभी महारथियोंको रोककर भारी बाणवषकि द्वारा श्वेतने भीष्मका धनुष काट दिया
mahātā śaravarṣeṇa bhīṣmasya dhanurācchinat |
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: Sa pamamagitan ng isang napakalakas na ulang-palaso, pinutol niya ang busog ni Bhīṣma. Gaya ng leon na pumipigil sa pagsulong ng kawan ng mga elepante, gayon din si Śveta: matapos pigilan ang lahat ng mga dakilang mandirigmang nakasakay sa karwahe, pinutol niya ang sandata ni Bhīṣma sa ilalim ng nakalulunod na buhos ng mga palaso.
