Bhīmasena’s Kalinga Engagement and the Approach of Bhīṣma (भीमसेन-कालिङ्ग-संग्रामः)
साश्वारोहान् विषाणाग्रैरुत्क्षिप्प तुरगान् गजा: । रथौघानभिमृद्नन्त: सध्वजानभिचक्रमु:
sāśvārōhān viṣāṇāgrair utkṣipya turagān gajāḥ | rathaughān abhimṛdnantaḥ sadhvajān abhicakramuḥ ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: Itinataas ng mga elepante ang mga kabayo kasama ang mga sakay nito sa dulo ng kanilang mga pangil, at habang dinudurog sa ilalim ng paa ang mga pulutong ng karwahe pati ang mga watawat, sila’y naglilibot sa larangan—larawan ng dumadagundong na puwersa ng digmaan, kung saan ang kagitingan at buhay ay nababaligtad sa isang iglap.
